CCB sleuths should catch the source. If these people can get marijuana so easily, why can't the so called 'CCB Sleuths' find out who are actually selling. The truth is that the sellers are hand in glove with the police. But the police just acted here because they have received a complaint from someone. The consumers names shouldn't be disclosed. Lakhs of people are smoking weed in India. Bhang is consumed during festivals.

Consuming weeds for fun once a blue moon in young age is accepted in several countries and almost all of them do not do it after their early twenties. I am not here to say whether it is right or wrong. While adults can drink the way they wish and smoke legally... some youth tasting weeds for fun ...who knows good or bad! All adults were not saints during their youth. Peddling and carrying pocket full stuff should be punished.

Agreed, but the problem with modern age fast life (unlike yesteryears), cut throat competition, various stressors, the chances of becoming an addict r very high especially if the child is emotionally weak or suffering from anxiety/depression etc.!! Best thing is AVOID!!!!

Smoking pot is legal in many states in US....all geniuses smoked pot one time or other...

Its not easy to medically prove one smoked pot...unlike alcohol( breath analyzer test)....

So these guys deny smoking pot...how Police could prove it,,,, only these Pandu's (Police) know...

Police should focus on more serious issues than these silly issues...

Please - So many other things are legal in the USA and other countries so try them too.
What are you trying to suggest ?- Legal
For eg- Carrying a Gun ? You mean to say that everyone should now carry a gun in India too?

It all comes to upbringing of the kids - not accounted pocket money / education and kind of friends they are having

Most of the crimes are linked to alcohol. Murders, Drunken driving, Abusing wife & children, Short temper and the famous Indian culture and samskriti RAPE. But guess what, you can consume that without being questioned. But weed which causes no harm to anyone is illegal. There have been no deaths reported due to marijuana (Google this too). Talk to a drunk person, he might even attack you!! And talk to a stoned person, he'll just want a bag of chips and a place to rest!

Mr....inside the jail too they get ganja to smoke.Once they go insie then they will come into contact with some bigtime criminals gang and they will come out after the jail term and start another job of contract killing.
Instead they should put in rehab for two to three months and should not be allowed outside till they become good.

1 month jail term for smoking weed? Do you even know that it is legal in the Netherlands and it is being legalised in other countries as well? Do you know how many U.S. presidents have smoked weed? Just Google it! We won't have any place in our jails if people get jailed for such petty reasons!

It's legalized in other countries, why doesn't India legalize it too? uncles and aunties drink properly infront of their children and kids but they have problem with youngsters smoking weed. Weed might be addictive but isn't bad for health like alcohol(Google it if you want). Anyway, youngsters reading this, stay safe guys don't smoke in the public specially near ur colleges coz the cops have their eye on such places coz of these uncles complaining to them. This is the right time to have fun and try amazing stuff n make memories but in limit, Not after get diabetes and 2-3 kids.

My heart pains whenever I hear about youngsters consuming alcohol without control and taking drugs because they are not only spoiling their future but also giving grave heartache to parents. What is the use of arresting consumers, they should hunt for sellers and it is definitely easy once they catch hold of these consumers. By the way these boys need loving care and treatment and not arrest
