Udupi, Jul 29: A lady teacher who left her home here to attend her school at Shankarpura has gone missing. In a complaint filed in Kaup police station, her husband, Harish Acharya, said that his wife has not been traceable.
The teacher who went missing under mysterious circumstances happens to be Veena Acharya (27), a teacher of St John's School at Shankarpura. Before going away, she left behind a letter on Friday July 27. She went to school by the Kinetic scooter she regularly used on Friday, but abandoned the scooter in the school premises.

Veena, whose height is 5'5", has wheatish complexion, and who can converse in Tulu, Kannada, English, Konkani and Hindi, has a mark on the left side of her neck.
Reportedly, Veena was depressed by the thought of not being able to conceive even after ten years of marriage. In the letter she left at her home, she said that people close to her would have faced problems because of her action. "I am leaving my home on the day of lunar eclipse. I request you not to make any effort to trace me. No one should have tension because of my action," she stated in the letter, the police said.
