      <p><strong>Srinagar, Apr 13 (IANS):</strong> Srinagar administration has decided to allow some groceries and shops selling essentials to open in parts of the city as part of a response system following the complete lockdown enforced in March.</p>\r\n
      <p>Srinagar DC Shahid Choudhary told IANS that the move has been taken to ease the difficulties of people in Srinagar.</p>\r\n
      <p>"We have been getting a lot of distress calls, so we have decided to allow some groceries and a few stores selling essentials to open in order to reduce the pressure," Choudhary said.</p>\r\n
      <p>He said that a government representative will be present in all such stores to ensure that social distancing protocols are followed.</p>\r\n
      <p>The city has been divided into 25 zones. Earlier, some select outlets were designated for home delivery in Srinagar.</p>\r\n
      <p>Choudhary said that after the imposition of lockdown in Srinagar, new challenges are coming up on a daily basis.</p>\r\n
      <p>"Right now we are working with 15-20 per cent of officials on ground, be in power supply, water supply or any other essential service except for healthcare," Choudhary said.</p>\r\n
