Udupi, Apr 3: Dharmastala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Hegde appointed well-known obstetrician and gynecologist of the city, Dr Mamata K V as the principal of his SDM Ayurvedic college. The executive officer Shashidar Shetty handed over the charge of professor and chief medical officer to Mamatha K V on behalf of the institute.
Dr Mamatha K V holds a BAMS degree and gold medal from an Ayurvedic institute, Hubballi, a postgraduate degree in obstetrics and gynecology from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and PhD from the National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur.
Dr Mamatha hosted several national and international Ayurvedic symposiums presented several essays and obtained international fame. Dr Mamatha K V is the wife of Mahe university, Manipal assistant director (purchase division) Navin Kumar. She is the daughter of Karkala based retired principal K V Bhandary and the Shanta couple.
President, vice-president and secretary of SDM Education Society Ujire have congratulated her.
