Mangaluru, Feb 11: District in-charge minister Sunil Kumar said on Friday February 11 that proposal for taluk level goshalas has been approved.
Addressing media here after KDP meeting at DC office, he said, “A land has been identified for district level goshala at Ramakunja. As per the demands of the MLA, a discussion was held to construct goshala for each taluk which will be maintained by temple administrations. The proposal has been approved for the taluk level goshala at Kukke Subrahmanya, Puttur Mahalingeshwara temple, Polali, Kateel and Southadka. We have directed to identify the places.
“As much as 70% of the construction of the new DC office at Padil has been completed. In order to complete the work, an additional fund of Rs 29 crore has been requested. The matter has been discussed with MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and chief minister Basavaraj Bommai.
“In the next week, discussion will be held on Smart City project and matters pertaining to the city corporation. Rs 310 crore has been released under Jal Jeevan mission project. Out of 468 projects, 168 have completed. I have directed the officials to complete all the works before 2023. So far 2,800 houses has been provided with tap water facilities. We have a target of reaching 58,000 by March. Under 94c and 94cc, 53,000 applications have been rejected. The revenue department has been urged to scrutinize the rejected applications again.
“A taluk level revenue mela will be held on March 1. A campaign of document disposal will be held from February 19 to 28,” he said.
MLC Prathap Simha Nayak, MLA Harish Poonja, deputy commissioner Dr K V Rajendra, zilla panchayat CEO Kumar were present.
