Bengaluru, Feb 12: The state government has received assurance from the national leadership of the BJP that there will not be any ministry expansion or rejig till the end of March this year. Then the ministry organization might be taken up, duly keeping in mind the coming election, sources said. The leaders have asked the chief minister to continue to serve the state without any apprehension and to present a good budget.
During his visit to New Delhi, chief minister Basavaraj Bommai had met union home minister Amit Shah, to discuss the issues. He had advised Bommai to discuss with the national president of the party, J P Nadda. But Bommai could not meet Nadda personally. Over phone, Nadda told him that he will speak about the issue later.
Now the high command has said that it is not wise to undertake any such exercise when election is on the cards in five states and that too when the joint session and budget session are approaching. It has asked the ministers to continue to work without any worry on this issue. The high command had advised the CM to convey the same to ministerial aspirants.
With the postponement of ministry reorganization, postings to corporations and boards also stands deferred as the advice of the national leadership of the BJP.
